Shenzhen, China - On April 30, 2024, a significant miles***e was achieved in the realm of sustainable transportation as ATESS and PT. Usaha Jayamas Bhakti (UJB) joined hands in a momentous signing ceremony. The signing ceremony, which took place in Shenzhen, saw the formalization of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and cooperation agreement, propelling ATESS into the role of a strategic partner of PT PLN Haleyora Power, an electrical company owned by the Indonesian Government.

During the ceremony, UJB exhibited their confidence in ATESS' cutting-edge EV charging solutions to kick-start the cooperation by placing an order for 100 units of EV chargers. This move not only underscores the trust in ATESS' technology but also reflects a shared commitment towards zero emissions and sustainable mobility solutions in Indonesia.

ATESS EV Chargers to develop Public Electric Vehicle Charging Station (SPKLU) Services


One of the key aspects of this collaboration is the focus on enhancing Indonesia's charging station infrastructure, a crucial step in meeting the country's growing demand for eco-friendly travel options. PT Haleyora Power (PLN HP), a subsidiary of PT PLN (Persero), has been entrusted with the task of developing Public Electric Vehicle Charging Station (SPKLU) services, aligning with Indonesia's vision to emerge as a leading electric vehicle producer in Southeast Asia by 2025.



The collaborative efforts between PLN HP, UJB Group, and the Indonesian Rest Area Entrepreneurs Association (APRESTINDO) are instrumental in driving the electric vehicle agenda forward in Indonesia. UJB Group, with its extensive experience in the energy industry spanning over four decades, brings valuable expertise and a robust network to the table. Their commitment to sustainable energy solutions, exemplified by their partnership with ATESS to become distributors of EV chargers, reinforces the collective goal of creating an environmentally friendly EV ecosystem in Indonesia.


Mr. Edi Amin, President Director of PT. Jayamas Bhakti Business and a member of APRESTINDO, expressed UJB's enthusiasm in supporting the government's net-zero emissions program through tangible actions such as distributing ATESS EV chargers and collaborating with APRESTINDO. This sentiment was echoed by Widie Wahyu, Chair of APRESTINDO, who emphasized the pivotal role of rest areas in facilitating EV charging infrastructure and ensuring a seamless experience for electric vehicle users across Indonesia.


The signing of the MoU between PLN HP and UJB signifies a significant stride towards developing SPKLU in Indonesia. Acting Main Director of Haleyora Power, Isral, highlighted the importance of this collaboration in developing EV charging infrastructure at all gas stations in big cities and rest areas of the Trans Sumatra toll road and Java.s, aligning with the government's target of having 2.1 million electric motorbikes and 20,000 electric vehicles in operation by 2025.
