Rest Area KM 45 is strategically located along the Jakarta-Merak Toll Road, connecting Indonesia’s capital, Jakarta, with the vital Merak Port in Banten Province. This major highway serves as an essential route for travel across Java Island, making the installation of a reliable and efficient EV charging station at this location crucial for supporting Indonesia’s growing demand for electric vehicles.

ATESS Combo EV Charging Station: The Future of Convenient Charging

The ATESS Combo EV Charging Station installed at Rest Area KM 45 is designed to meet the diverse needs of EV owners, ensuring a smooth, efficient, and eco-friendly charging experience. Equipped with three output ports – two DC fast-charging outputs (CHAdeMO and CCS 2) and one AC output – the station can charge up to three vehicles simultaneously, accommodating various types of electric cars.

With the ability to provide super-fast charging for both standard and high-capacity vehicles, this station ensures drivers can quickly get back on the road. Whether you're driving a standard electric vehicle or a high-capacity model, the ATESS Combo EV charger is engineered for speed, reliability, and environmental sustainability. The charger also supports easy operation through the PLN Mobile app, allowing users to scan a QR code to initiate the charging process seamlessly.

Supporting Indonesia’s Green Mobility Future

This installation is part of a larger plan by PT PLN to expand Indonesia’s EV charging infrastructure, which includes 111 public charging stations (SPKLU) across various toll road rest areas. With 68 units planned for Java, 22 units for Sumatra, and several others for key locations like Jabodetabek and Kalimantan, this project will play a pivotal role in meeting the charging needs of EV users nationwide.

Darmawan Prasodjo, President Director of PT PLN, emphasized the importance of this initiative: "We are committed to supporting the growth of the electric vehicle ecosystem in Indonesia. By expanding SPKLU facilities at strategic points, such as rest areas, we are ensuring that EV users have easy access to reliable charging stations, helping to accelerate the transition to a greener future."

Collaboration for a Sustainable Future

The installation of the ATESS Combo EV Charging Station is part of a broader collaborative effort to boost Indonesia’s EV infrastructure and contribute to the country’s energy transition goals. PT Usaha Jayamas Bhakti (UJB), the official distributor of ATESS EV chargers in Indonesia, is responsible for overseeing the development and maintenance of these charging stations at key rest areas across the country. The collaboration also includes APRESTINDO, which represents the interests of rest area entrepreneurs.

Edi Amin, Director of PT UJB, expressed his enthusiasm about the project: "We are excited to partner with PLN, ATESS, and APRESTINDO to bring EV charging infrastructure to more locations across Indonesia. This collaboration will help ease the adoption of electric vehicles and contribute to achieving Indonesia’s net-zero emission goals by 2060."

Looking Ahead

The installation at Rest Area KM 45 is just one example of how ATESS is helping to shape the future of sustainable energy in Indonesia. As the country continues to embrace electric mobility, the expansion of charging infrastructure will be crucial to supporting the growing number of EVs on the road. ATESS is committed to driving innovation and providing reliable solutions that meet the evolving needs of EV drivers.

With this project, ATESS is proud to contribute to the sustainable mobility revolution in Indonesia, ensuring that the future of travel is not only greener but more convenient and accessible for everyone.
